At The Children’s Institute we pride ourselves on being an active presence in the community. With several established programs, our reach of service extends beyond the four walls of our buildings.

Kids on the Block

Geared toward a young school-age audience, puppeteers take their show on the road to educate students about children with disabilities.
 

 

 

 

  

 

Amazing Kids Workshops

An instructor from The Children’s Institute travels to middle schools and conducts in-class workshops designed to promote tolerance and understanding of peers with disabilities.
 

 

 

 

 

Act 48 Teacher In-Service Programs

Instructors from The Children’s Institute present disability awareness programs for teachers at their school.  These informative programs help facilitate inclusion in the classroom.

 

 

Camp Success

Since its inception in 1999, Camp Success has provided summer programming for low-income families who have a child or children with special needs.
